Salt Lake City

Today I went back to the History Library and concentrated on the English half of my family.   I found  the English grandfather died in 1908.   I still don't know why the children were placed in an orphanage or where it was.  They sailed from Liverpool, I know that.  I found the passenger list and it looks like an aunt paid their fair to Boston, Ma.  Now, the oldest girl ran away from the orphanage and got married and today I found her marriage date.  I was able to find the family line back to 1851, so that's a good start.   I had trouble with the 1841 census and was not able to find them.    Just today my English family names increased from just Egerton to Jones, Barlow, and Rowley.

Tomorrow we are on our way to Yellowstone National Park.

What a wonderful city it looks beautiful.  You are doing great work in the library you will have to see if any of your relations were Scottish. Love Joan.

Salt Lake City looks spectacular, crisp, clean and new, well in comparison with European cities. Glad that you are succeeding in finding your English ancestors. Keep looking, and enjoy Yellowstone National Park. Looking forward to hearing about it,
Kate.

Good Morning Dawn,

I tried to leave a comment yesterday but AOL was doing it's "thing" and I finally gave up.  I tried to tell you I have a cousin who is Mormon and they have wonderful records, are very into geneology.  Guess you know that though since you are in Salt Lake City, huh? (ha)  We went to Yellowstone a couple of years ago in June and it snowed while we were there!!  It was the most beautiful, big snowflakes I'd ever seen!  We loved the park and all the animals and beauty everywhere.  If you've never been, you will be amazed!!  Keep safe on your travels, can't wait to hear about your next stop!  We are planning a trip to KY in our new motorhome in about 3 weeks.  We are taking our Grandbabies....ought to be fun!

Take Care,
~Bilinda~

I'd love to visit that library!  I could spend days in there!  How lucky you are to be able to visit such a place.
Salt Lake City looks wonderful.  Clean and crisp!  Can't wait to see your pictures of Yellowstone!  Be safe.
