It's the latest hot spot for the college crowd in Tempe Arizona, and they are called hookah bars or restaurants. They say it's a legl buzz and beats cigarettes. Most locations offer about twenty tobacco flavors from fruity to cappuccino. Hookah bars have been around for a few years in the U.S., popping up in Las Vegas, New Orleans and San Diego.
Many hookah smokers think it is safer than cigarettes because the percentage of tobacco in the product smoked is low. But they're wrong, according to the American Cancer Society. They report that all tobacco products contain nicotine, and it is not "safe" in any amount or form.

I heard about these hookah bars. Amazing! Wish there was a way to help the college crowd understand what they're doing to themselves. *Barb*
